Junior-Senior Fight To Created Atmosphere In College, 7 People Arrested

The Annapurneswar Nagar Police have apprehended seven individuals, including three students from the same college, in connection with the recent assault on a BBA student near BDA Complex on Nagarabavi Horwarthula Road. The arrested individuals are Sahagowda, also known as Satya, HB Jeevan, Abhishek, A. Ravikumar, PS Chandan, Gautham Gowda, and AS Surya. These individuals attacked student S. Darshan on June 5 near BDA Complex due to personal reasons and had initially escaped. Inspector B. Ramamurthy and his team, who investigated the incident, located the accused based on technical information, including CCTV footage. S. Darshan, a resident of Vinayaka Layout near Nagarbavi, is a BBA student in a private college near BDA Complex. Sahagowda, Chandan, and Jeevan, who are studying in the same college, are seniors. A recent dispute between Darshan and Sahagowda, Jeevan, and Chandan arose over creating a tense atmosphere in the college. In response, Darshan expressed his intention to teach Sahagowda a lesson. Upon learning of this, Sahagowda planned to confront and warn Darshan before attacking him. In addition to his classmates Chandan and Jeevan, Sahagowda enlisted the support of outsiders, namely Ravi, Abhishek, and Gautam. As per their premeditated plan, the accused attacked Darshan while he was leaving the college for breakfast on the morning of June 5. Darshan sustained minor injuries during the incident.
