Earlier last year, model turned actress Meera Mithun, who has acted a few films in small roles, was booked under 7 sections for casteist remarks including SC/ST Prevention of Atrocities Act. She was later arrested by Chennai police in Kerala in August 2021 and later granted bail in September. Now, the controversial Meera Mithun has been arrested by the Chennai city cyber crime wing police in connection with the non-bailable warrant issued by the Egmore court.
Bigg Boss Tamil contestant Meera Mithun stirred a controversy earlier last year, after she made derogatory remarks against Vijay and Suriya, and their respective wives Sangeetha and actress Jyothika. Now, Meera Mithun has been arrested by the Central Crime Branch Police in a case of slander on a social networking site. Chennai Cyber Crime Police have arrested Meera Mithun following a warrant issued for not appearing in a defamation case.
This was not the first time Meera Mithun has engulfed herself with controversies, the actress has a history of blurting out baseless accusations against popular personalities. While she had a taste of some sort of legal action earlier, looks like she is in trouble again.
