“All preparations have been made across the state for the social, economic and educational survey undertaken by the government, and a total of 1.60 lakh teachers have been appointed by the Education Department in the state for this survey,” said School Education and Literacy Department and District In-charge Minister S Madhu Bangarappa.

He spoke after distributing census work kits to teachers conducting the social, economic and educational census survey at the city’s Field Education Officer’s office premises on Monday.

“The Congress government is doing as it says. As promised in our manifesto during the elections, we implemented internal reservation. Now we have moved forward to conduct a social, economic and educational survey of backward classes,” he said.  “My department has already made all preparations for the survey as per the government’s orders. There are 1 crore houses in the state, and 1.60 lakh teachers have been appointed by the department for the survey. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has taken the initiative to conduct this survey with a view to providing justice to the common people. This survey will be conducted from September 22 to October 7, and people should cooperate with the survey without listening to the words of the opposition parties and provide correct information. This will create a system to get your rights. The teachers of our department have promised to complete the survey within the specified date. If not, the Chief Minister will take the next decision,” he continued.

“There are still about 5.50 lakh houses in district, and 35,000 teachers have been appointed. The district administration should also conduct the survey without any problem. If such a situation arises, it should be brought to the attention of the department secretary or the backward classes department commissioner and rectified,”
Bangarappa added.
