North India’s New Tea Auction Process Will Begin In March

The Bharat Auction model for tea, which is already operational in south India, would be implemented in north India by the end of March, According to a company spokesman on Saturday. Following the completion of the pilot project on March 1 to allow all aspects to be evaluated by all parties involved, the Bharat Auction model will be implemented in Kolkata, Guwahati, and Siliguri beginning on March 22, 2023.
From March 22, the auction system will switch from the current English system to the Bharat Auction model. The pilot auction will be done on March one so that all the features are tested by the stakeholders, the secretary of Calcutta Tea Traders Association (CTTA)JKalyanaSundaramsaid.
