Prasad: Rahul questions own party, spreads baseless, irresponsible claims

Patna

Senior BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad on Friday accused Rahul Gandhi of spreading falsehoods and misleading youth, calling his social media post about Gen-Z “irresponsible and dangerous” during a Patna press conference.

Prasad alleged that Gandhi’s remarks were aimed at creating unrest and anarchism. “By making such baseless allegations, is he trying to incite violence? His statement is against democracy, the Constitution, and the country itself,” Prasad said, strongly condemning the Congress leader’s comments.

He further accused Gandhi of targeting the Election Commission of India without facts. “Rahul Gandhi blamed Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar for a case from 2023, even though he was appointed only recently. How is that possible? This is clear proof of Gandhi’s misleading claims,” Prasad said.

Citing Karnataka’s Aland Assembly constituency, Prasad reminded that a Congress candidate won in 2023 by 248 votes after re-polling ordered by the High Court. “By questioning the same election, Rahul Gandhi is raising doubts over his own party’s victory,” he remarked.

The BJP leader also highlighted that the 2023 FIR Gandhi referred to is under investigation by Karnataka’s CID, a state governed by the Congress itself. “Why doesn’t Rahul question his own government? The Election Commission has clarified everything,” Prasad said.

Questioning Gandhi’s credibility, Prasad claimed the Congress leader speaks without doing his homework and is misled by poor advisers. “Who is his tutor? He should change his tutor,” Prasad added, calling Gandhi’s charges baseless and irresponsible.
