Hebbal residents fume over vehicles blocking house gates

Residents of Second Cross Road near Surya Bakery in Hebbal are reportedly facing daily inconvenience as car owners allegedly park their vehicles in front of residential gates, blocking access to homes and creating frequent confrontations.

A.R. Satyanarayana Murthy, an advocate and resident of Hebbal, has brought the issue to public attention, stating that residents have been forced to tolerate the problem for a long time. According to him, vehicles are parked indiscriminately in front of house gates without considering the inconvenience caused to occupants trying to enter or leave their homes.

The situation, he said, becomes more serious when residents question the motorists. Instead of moving their vehicles, some car owners allegedly respond aggressively and engage in heated arguments.

In a recent incident, the owner of a car allegedly reacted angrily when questioned for blocking a residential gate. The motorist reportedly claimed that the road was government property and questioned the resident’s authority to object to the parking.

Murthy has appealed to the jurisdiction traffic police to intervene and take appropriate action against motorists who block residential entrances and allegedly intimidate residents. He cautioned that repeated parking disputes could escalate into serious law-and-order issues if motorists resort to threats or physical confrontation.

Residents have urged the traffic authorities to regulate parking in the area and ensure that access to residential properties is not obstructed. They said public roads cannot be treated as an excuse to inconvenience homeowners.
