BJP leader criticised Congress protests at Jantar Mantar, saying issues should be raised in Parliament rather than creating disturbances outside

BJP state president B.Y. Vijayendra accused Congress of attempting to create unrest in the country during a press conference at Vidhana Soudha in Bengaluru on Thursday. He said protests are part of democracy, but claimed the opposition party was using the NEET issue for political purposes instead of seeking solutions.
Vijayendra said the NEET examination held on May 3 faced confusion after reports of irregularities emerged and the matter was handed over to the CBI for investigation. He stated that several arrests were made and demanded that the re-examination process should be completed within 35 days to protect students’ future. He added that the government was taking steps to make competitive examinations more secure and transparent.

Ashoka criticises Congress over NEET and youth issues
Opposition Leader R. Ashoka accused Congress leader Rahul Gandhi of avoiding Parliament discussions on NEET irregularities and questioned the party’s approach toward student issues.
Speaking to reporters, Ashoka said elected representatives should raise concerns in the Lok Sabha and provide answers to people. He alleged that Congress was using the NEET issue for political gains instead of focusing on solutions. Ashoka also criticised the opposition party over past examination problems and claimed the current government had taken action against those involved in irregularities.
Ashoka highlighted the growth of medical education under the central government and said steps were taken to improve examination systems. He also attacked the Karnataka government over youth employment, recruitment delays and the handling of protests.
Referring to the deaths of 11 people during RCB celebrations, he questioned the lack of accountability from state leaders. Ashoka further alleged unfair treatment during political protests and demanded equal action from police authorities. He said Congress should address its own governance issues before questioning national policies and student welfare measures.
