Blurb: BJP MLC MG Mule urged strict action against anti-party activities, warning they could damage the party’s future electoral prospects in Bidar and across Karnataka
Bidar
BJP MLC MG Mule has welcomed the party leadership’s decision to seriously examine allegations of cross-voting in the recently concluded election and called for strict action against those involved in anti-party activities.
Speaking to reporters, Mule said the BJP high command had taken the matter seriously and convened a meeting to discuss the issue. He described the decision as a positive step and said it reflected the party’s commitment to maintaining discipline within the organization.
According to Mule, anti-party activities have been affecting the BJP’s performance in Bidar for some time. He pointed to the party’s defeat in the recent Lok Sabha election as an example and said the result was unexpected given the BJP’s strong presence in the district.
He noted that the party has four MLAs in Bidar and a well-established organizational network. Despite this strength, the BJP failed to win the Lok Sabha seat, which he described as both disappointing and embarrassing. He said such a result suggested that certain elements within the party may have worked against its interests.
Mule warned that if incidents of cross-voting and internal sabotage are not addressed immediately, the BJP could face similar setbacks in future elections. He said the party cannot afford to ignore such developments, especially with upcoming electoral contests ahead.
Mule said those involved in anti-party activities must be identified and face strict action to protect the BJP’s unity and credibility. He warned that such actions could weaken the party and hurt future election prospects, expressing confidence that the leadership would investigate the matter and take necessary disciplinary measures.
