The trailer of the upcoming romantic drama Deewana was released recently, offering a powerful glimpse into a story of one-sided love that slowly turns into obsession. The film stars young actors Harshith Reddy and Smeha Manimegalai in lead roles and is directed by debutant Srikanth Sangishetty.
The trailer opens with a strong message dedicated to all one-sided lovers, immediately setting an emotional tone. It introduces the male lead as a deeply devoted lover who is completely consumed by his feelings for the female lead, whom he lovingly calls “Ammu.” In one of the early scenes, he is even seen getting her name tattooed on himself, showing the intensity of his attachment.
As the story unfolds, his love grows more extreme. He is shown aggressively defending her honour, even getting into fights with friends and others who speak negatively about her. His behaviour reflects a growing obsession that goes beyond normal affection.
However, Ammu does not return his feelings. Despite repeated rejection, the male lead continues to care for her and protect her, even distancing himself from his own family in his desperate attempt to win her love. The central question remains whether his devotion will ever be accepted or not.
Harshith Reddy appears in a transformed avatar, stepping away from lighter roles to portray a more intense and emotional character. Smeha Manimegalai brings charm and freshness to her role, adding balance to the narrative.
The trailer has been well received for its emotional depth and strong presentation. Deewana is scheduled for theatrical release on June 19 and is produced under Arha Media along with Vasudev Koppineni and Sridevi Karyampudi. The film also features Jhansi and Naresh in supporting roles, with music composed by Eshwar Chand.
