Shivamogga
A 32-year-old bike rider Shivakumar from Old Joga in Honnali taluk of Davanagere district died on the spot after a private bus hit his motorcycle near Kommanalu Cross in Shivamogga. The accident occurred when the bike rider was returning home to Haleshoga after travelling from Shivamogga. A private bus moving from Savalanga towards Shivamogga collided with his two-wheeler, causing severe injuries. Shivakumar succumbed instantly at the scene due to the impact of the crash. Police said a case has been registered at Shivamogga Rural Police Station and investigations are in progress to determine the exact cause and circumstances of the fatal road accident.
