Koramangala station police arrested four inter-state thieves who were having fun with the money they had sold in Tamil Nadu by breaking the handlocks of two-wheelers, removing the number plates and recovering Rs. 15 lakhs. Two-wheelers and an auto-rickshaw worth 29 have been seized.
Bangalore city resident Shaan, Tamil Nadu native Ranjith Kumar, Shahen Shah and Shiva are the arrested inter-state two-wheeler thieves. 29 two-wheelers including 9 Honda Dio, 4 Bajaj Pulsar, 3 TCS Jupiter, 3 Suzuki Axes, 2 Activa Honda, 2 Honda Shine, 1 Royal Enfield bike were seized from the accused and 30 cases of theft were found in different police stations of the city and in other police stations of Tamil Nadu.
Investigation revealed that with the help of the accused from Bangalore city, the other accused from Tamil Nadu state, including Koramangala, Madiwala, HSR Layout, Hulimavu, Bommanahalli, Anekal and various parts of Tamil Nadu state, have committed theft.
These four together broke the handle lock of the two-wheelers parked in the parking lots and stole their number plates and then transported them to Tamil Nadu and sold them in the surrounding villages of Thiruvannamalai district.
He used to have fun with the money from the sale. A team including Inspector Nataraj, PSI Mahesh Mallya, under the guidance of South East Division Deputy Commissioner of Police CK Baba and Madiwal Sub Division Assistant Commissioner of Police Lakshmi Narayan succeeded in arresting the accused.
The accused were found to have stolen a Royal Enfield bike belonging to a forester from Dharmapuri. City Police Commissioner and East Division Additional Commissioner of Police appreciate this good work.
