KIAL records growth in passenger, cargo operations

BENGALURU

Kempegowda International Airport recorded significant growth in passenger and cargo movement during 2025-26, handling 44.47 million passengers and transporting 5.32 lakh metric tonnes of cargo. International passenger traffic rose by 23.9 per cent to 7.23 million, while domestic traffic increased by 3.3 per cent to 37.24 million passengers. The airport also registered 2,80,800 flight movements during the year, averaging 769 flights daily. The highest single-day traffic touched 837 flights, while 1,39,111 passengers travelled through the airport on the busiest day. KIAL’s cargo network currently connects 38 cities through services operated by 15 cargo airlines.
