Two peddlers held, drugs worth Rs 2 lakhs seized

Two drug peddlers who were selling marijuana and MDMA near a college were arrested by CCB police on Friday and seized drugs worth Rs. 2 lakhs. CCB police were informed of the sale of narcotics to students near the playground of a college within the Jeevan Bheemanagar Police Station limits.
The CCB narcotics officer and staff team raided and arrested two drug peddlers and seized about Rs 2 lakh. The drug drug MDMA Crystal, 1 kg 100 grams of marijuana, mobile and electronic weighing machines and other items used in the act have been seized.
It is learned that the two peddlers, along with the three accused in the case, have been selling the cannabis to North Indian-based mercenaries, acquaintances, especially college students, for Rs 1500 to Rs2,000 per kg, in the city.
The police investigation revealed that MDMA sold crystal at Rs 8,000 to Rs 10000 for 1 gram. A case has been registered against the accused at Jeevan Bhimanagar police station and the investigation is continuing.
