Nadubettu Appanna tells the story of Appanna, a miserly man living in a remote village called Dabbadka. The villagers often face elephant attacks on their farms and houses. The village does not have basic facilities like roads, hospitals, or schools. To reach the nearest town, they must travel on a raft, which has caused many deaths.
Appanna does not care about others, not even his own family. But when an elephant destroys his farm, he loses his wife and son. This tragedy changes him. He understands that saving money is useless if his home and farmland are unsafe. Regretting his selfish life, he donates his property to the government through a trust for the welfare of the village.
Nataraj Honnavalli plays the lead role. Sumathi, Nishanth, Jagannath, and others are in the cast. Cinematography is by Abhishek Anagalli and Dhanush Mysuru, and music is by Kumar Eshwar.
