Priya, known for her role as Girija in Vijay Kumar’s Bheema, has become a favorite for portraying police officers. Following her upcoming film Custody, where she plays a cop, Priya is set to wear the khaki uniform again in Kumbha Sambhava. Directed by T.N. Nagesh, this marks her third appearance in a police role.
Kumbha Sambhava explores significant social issues, with its story inspired by real events in Mandya in 2023, focusing on the critical problem of female foeticide. The film, currently in production, is being made under the Milky Moon Movies banner. Director Nagesh revealed that Krish Joshi contributed to the story and dialogues, crafting a narrative aimed at raising awareness.
Priya plays Janaki, a police officer navigating a story deeply connected to women’s experiences. ‘This film addresses female foeticide with a fresh perspective, offering not just awareness but a solution,’ Priya said. She stars alongside Arjun Dev, Madhu Sri, Shobhita, and others in pivotal roles.
The movie’s music is composed by MN Kripakar, with Kaurav Venkatesh overseeing action sequences. Siddaraju is the cinematographer, and Akash is the editor. With its socially relevant theme and relatable storytelling, Kumbha Sambhava aims to leave a lasting impact.
