Police arrest notorious thief involved in 42 theft cases

Police have arrested a thief who was involved in 42 theft cases. Anand (33) native of Anekal is the arrested accused. Police said that he was involved in theft cases in Mandya, Bengaluru and Tamil Nadu including Chamarajanagar.
There were serial theft cases in district headquarters and Kollegala. The police, who registered a complaint in this regard and conducted an operation, succeeded in arresting the accused after a month.
In 2019, Anand was ready to direct the movie Page No-3. At that time, the film was not completed due to financial problems. He has also worked as a stuntman in many films in the Kannada film industry. Meanwhile, suspecting that his friends’ wife was having an illicit relationship with someone else, he killed her. He was jailed in this case and later released on bail. Later, apart from stealing money from shops, he was also carrying a CCTV DVR. The police informed that he bought a car recently.
Thieves of Tamil Nadu were introduced in jail. This acquaintance turned into friendship. After his release from jail, he joined the thieves and started stealing in Tamil Nadu first. Police said that he has been accused in 42 theft cases so far.
The accused was arrested by police and produced before the court and remanded for further investigation.
