The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) conducted a raid on Kamal Adwan Hospital in Jabaliya, northern Gaza on Monday, detaining approximately 100 Hamas operatives believed to be hiding there. The operation began with the evacuation of civilians from the hospital, after which elite forces from the Navy’s Shayetet 13 commando unit proceeded to search the facility.

The IDF stated that around 40 operatives were initially detained during the evacuation, followed by further arrests linked to the Hamas attack on October 7. Video footage from the operation showed the commandos conducting searches and apprehending suspects.

The IDF reported that the operation was based on intelligence indicating terrorist activity within the hospital. They emphasized their efforts to minimize harm to civilians, allowing them to leave before conducting searches.

During the operation, soldiers reportedly discovered weapons, funds for terror activities, and intelligence documents in the hospital and surrounding area. The IDF accused Hamas of using hospitals in Gaza for military operations, including holding hostages and storing weapons.

The detained individuals are being taken for further questioning, as the IDF affirmed its commitment to ongoing operations against Hamas in accordance with international law.
