GOAT, starring Vijay, is set for a major release on September 5, just a week away. The film, directed by Venkat Prabhu, has already received a U/A certification from the CBFC with a runtime of 2 hours and 59 minutes. However, after adding approximately 4 minutes of bloopers to the end credits, the film has been re-submitted for censorship. The updated runtime is now 3 hours and 3 minutes, making it Vijay’s second-longest film after Shankar’s Nanban, which runs for 3 hours and 8 minutes.
The blooper reel included at the end of GOAT will highlight Vijay’s humorous moments from the film’s shoot, offering fans a fun and engaging addition. With its release imminent, GOAT is expected to make a strong impact at the box office, especially since there are no major competing releases on the same day in any language.
Bookings for GOAT have already started outside Tamil Nadu, with reservations in Vijay’s home state expected to open this weekend. The film features Vijay in a dual role as both father and son and includes a stellar cast: Prashanth, Prabhu Deva, Sneha, Laila, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Vaibhav, Jayaram, and Mohan. The musical score is by Yuvan Shankar Raja, and the film will be released in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi.
