The YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) approached Andhra Pradesh Chief Electoral Officer Vivek Yadav, demanding the immediate release of polling booth-wise results from the 2024 General Elections on Tuesday. The YSRCP delegation, which included former ministers Ambati Rambabu and Merugu Nagarjuna, along with MLC Lella Appireddy and other leaders, requested the publication of Form 20s, which detail the results for each polling booth in the state Assembly and Lok Sabha elections.

They pointed out discrepancies in the reported polling percentages. The Election Commission of India (ECI) initially reported Andhra Pradesh’s polling percentage as 68.12% at 8 p.m. on May 13, increasing to 76.50% by 11:45 p.m., and later revised to 80.66% by May 17. However, the YSRCP claimed that the actual turnout exceeded 82%.

The delegation reminded the CEO of a formal request made on June 10, which had not been addressed. They urged for immediate publication of Form 20s and clarification of polling data inconsistencies. The YSRCP also sought detailed breakdowns of votes for each Assembly and Parliamentary constituency, including any votes cast after official polling hours, and information on polling stations that operated beyond closing times.

Ambati Rambabu criticized the ECI for failing to resolve election doubts and ensure transparency, while Merugu Nagarjuna raised concerns about mismatches in VVPAT-EVM data and the security of EVM storage.
