Must read

The Tamil film ‘Viduthalai Part 1’, directed by Vetrimaaran and featuring Vijay Sethupathi, Soori, Bhavani Sre, and Gautham Menon, was well-received last year. Following its success, work began on the sequel, ‘Viduthalai Part 2’, which includes Prakash Raj and Manju Warrier in significant roles. The music is composed by Ilaiyaraaja.

Filming for ‘Viduthalai Part 2’ has been ongoing for over a year. With about 30 more days of shooting needed to delve deeply into the story, the team is considering dividing the sequel into ‘Part 2’ and ‘Part 3’. Reports suggest that Vetrimaaran might proceed with ‘Part 3’ based on fan reactions online.

The sequel will explore the story of Vijay Sethupathi and his love interest, played by Manju Warrier. Originally slated for release last September, ‘Viduthalai Part 2’ has been delayed but is expected to release this year. The final release schedule for Part 2 and confirmation of Part 3 are yet to be announced.

In addition, Vetrimaaran is working on his long-awaited project ‘Vaadivaasal’, starring Suriya. The film’s pre-production, including animatronic effects, is currently underway.
