Visitors and staff were evacuated from malls in Gurugram on Saturday after the district administration received an email bomb threat targeting all local malls. Starting around 10 a.m., police, dog squads, and civil defense teams conducted a search of the malls, according to Mohit Sharma, Chief of the Civil Defence Team in Gurugram.

Meanwhile, the Uttar Pradesh Police carried out a security drill at DLF Mall of India in Noida. DCP Noida Ram Badan Singh explained that such drills help ensure safety in large areas by involving fire services, dog squads, and police teams.

Earlier, on August 9, an anonymous caller claimed RDX explosives were planted at Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT). Despite thorough searches at all CSMT stations, no explosives were found. The call was traced to locations in Mumbai and Bihar, but the caller had shut off their phone before any further action could be taken.
