Responding to the pressing needs of farmers and laborers in the region, the Transport Minister has approved the establishment of bus services on the route from Tirthahalli-Untur Katte Kaimara-Yaduru-Mastikkatte to Nagar Hobli office, effective from morning till 2 pm. This decision comes after Aarti Krishna, Vice President of Karnataka Non-Resident Indian Committee, submitted a request highlighting the difficulties faced by locals, particularly in accessing essential services in Hosanagar taluk.
The initiative was prompted by a meeting between the Vice President and Ramalingareddy, Minister of Transport, where the former advocated for improved transportation infrastructure to cater to public needs, including access to healthcare and administrative facilities. In response to the request, the Transport Minister has directed the concerned authorities at KSRTC Shimoga Division to arrange 4 to 6 trips daily on the specified route.
As authorities highlighted that, the initiative helps to alleviate the travel challenges faced by residents in reaching essential services, reinforcing the government’s commitment to enhancing public transport accessibility across Karnataka.
