Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Minister Priyank Kharge said that MLC Suraj Revanna’s case is strange, perverse and disgusting. Speaking to the media, he said that it is not known what is going on in the case of Prajvala Revanna, former Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa and Suraj.
Minister Kharge expressed concern over the lack of introspection among political leaders. He criticized the widespread calls for others’ resignations without self-reflection. Kharge highlighted that many in power come from influential families and urged the public to listen to responsible voices instead. He questioned the responsibilities of these leaders and the message they send to society. Highlighting his own responsible family background, he vowed to stay in power until negative perceptions are erased.
Kharge clarified that his remarks were not directed at HD Kumaraswamy, HD Deve Gowda, or HD Revanna, noting their actions are guided by their conscience. He acknowledged the millions in the party who support these leaders and pointed out the silence of the BJP on certain issues, despite their frequent advocacy for justice and programs like ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao.’ He noted that while PM Modi respects the Constitution, there is silence when laws are violated by his own party members, especially in POCSO cases.Kharge also remarked on the increase in illegal activities during elections, particularly the illegal sand transportation business, which is allegedly facilitated by officers involved in the election process.
