Health Minister Dinesh Gundurao has proposed establishing new clinics in public areas, including bus stands. During a review meeting with health department officials, he instructed them to identify locations for the 254 new clinics and submit a report within 15 days.
Emphasizing the need to strengthen the existing 503 clinics across the state, Minister Gundurao highlighted the opportunity to start additional clinics this year. Officials were directed to prioritize public spaces for the new clinics, with special attention given to locations like jails and bus stands. The Minister tasked key officials to complete site identification within the given timeframe and obtain Cabinet approval.
In discussions with senior health officials, Minister Gundurao stressed the importance of expediting health schemes’ implementation. He warned of consequences for officials delaying project execution and urged full utilization of grants received in the previous fiscal for repairing primary health centers and developing hospital infrastructure.
