The Economic Offence Unit (EOU) of Bihar Police has formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to investigate allegations of two EVM hackers staying at Raj Bhavan. Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar directed officials to take action against the accused following these serious allegations.
The EOU registered an FIR based on a written complaint by Principal Secretary Robert L. Chongthu under the Representation of People Act, IT Act, and other IPC sections. A man named Nitesh Karthikeyan, who identifies as a Laluwadi, posted on social media claiming that two EVM hackers are staying at Raj Bhavan.
On the instructions of the Home Minister of India, two EVM hackers are staying at Bihar’s Raj Bhavan. These suspicious individuals, named P. Kashyap and Dr. MK Bhai, are currently residing there, Karthikeyan wrote.
He further stated that Bihar’s Chief Minister, Nitish Kumar, who is also the Home Minister, should clarify in what capacity these two individuals are staying at Raj Bhavan. Are they IAS officers or part of any department, Karthikeyan questioned, and if the CM or the Election Commission respond.
Karthikeyan alleged that both individuals are experts in hacking EVMs. He expressed concern over their presence with upcoming elections in Patliputra, Patna Sahib, and Nalanda Lok Sabha constituencies on June 1, questioning how suspicious individuals could be allowed to stay at Raj Bhavan.
