Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Minister Priyank Kharge responded sharply to former CM HD Kumaraswamy’s accusations regarding the Prajwal Revanna case, questioning why Kumaraswamy repeatedly targets the Congress. Kharge suggested that Kumaraswamy might have used hidden cameras to gather information.
Kharge, speaking to the media, clarified that the recording and pen drive were created by his driver, with the footage subsequently shared by a defeated BJP candidate. He urged Kumaraswamy to refrain from portraying DK Shivakumar as a hero, referencing a video where individuals claimed to have auctioned off the dignity of girls. Kharge emphasized that the focus should be on seeking forgiveness from the victimized girls rather than targeting politicians.Furthermore, Kharge criticized Opposition leader R Ashoka, accusing him of being the scriptwriter, director, and producer behind the scenes. However, he questioned Ashoka regarding the identity of the actor in the video, labeling them as a villain in his view, but referred to as a hero by the BJP. Kharge called on Ashoka to address the actor’s actions rather than deflecting attention away from them.
