The second phase of voting for the Lok Sabha elections has started. Siddalinga Swamiji first cast his vote at the polling station of Siddhganga Mutt Primary School. Swamiji fed fruits to the cows in the Mutt before voting and arrived at the polling station.

Speaking after the voting, Siddhalinga Swamiji said that voting should be compulsory in the country, only then will the voter turnout be 100 percent, adding that voting awareness is high in rural areas. However, more educated people in urban areas are reluctant to vote, he said, encouraging this to happen.If democracy is to survive, everyone must vote faithfully, he added, saying that democracy gives people the opportunity to choose their leader. He also added that Shivkumar Swamiji has the honor of having voted in the most number of elections in the state.
