Dingaleshwar Swamiji, who had filed his nomination as an independent candidate, has now withdrawn it. Minister Santosh Lad expressed openness to Swamiji’s potential support, should he declare it. However, the Minister highlighted that they had not solicited Swamiji’s backing. The issue of Neha Hiremath, a case where a Hindu girl was killed, has garnered significant attention, contrasting with other instances where Hindus were victims. Minister Lad accused the BJP of politicizing the matter, alleging a pattern of exploiting such incidents for political gain.
Regarding elections, Lad suggested the BJP could secure victory even in countries like Sri Lanka and Nepal. He criticized the BJP’s approach, labeling it as opportunistic. Moreover, he urged against politicizing Neha’s case, particularly by her father, Niranjan Hiremath, whom he portrayed as a victim of BJP conspiracy. Minister Lad cautioned against falling for BJP’s narrative and encouraged redirecting blame towards the government. This stance aligns with the ongoing political dynamics as the elections draw near.
