Siya Vamansa Khode, a National Bravery Award winner, instituted by the Indian Council for Child Welfare, has expressed her ire against Union Minister Pralhad Joshi.
She has released an audio clip saying she is a national bravery awardee in 2016. He has got voting power for the first time. Though it has been seven years after being honoured with the award, Union Minister Prahad Joshi neither helped them nor even spoke.
When her parents brought her to the Minister, he neglected them. Other MPs call and felicitate national awardees and show respect. Why should I vote for you, she questioned.
Siya’s father Vamansa Khode confirmed that the audio is recorded by his daughter. Pursuing B.Com, at a private college and she recorded her feelings and released it on social media, he added.
She was honoured by the PM in January 2017 for rescuing her younger brother who had come in contact with a live wire on April 14, 2015. Knowing that she would be electrocuted, she had held his shirt and pulled him tightly. After detaching him from the wire, though she fell to a distance, she screamed out for help. Later her parents immediately took him to the hospital.
PM Modi had tweeted about her saying, Siya Vamansa Khode from Karnataka is an inspiration for everyone. Her fearlessness saved her brother from electrocution, in his official tweet on January 23, 2017.
