The revenue of Kukke Subrahmanya Temple has increased by Rs 22.5 crore in 2023-24 compared to the previous year. The temple earned a revenue of Rs 146 crore during 2023-24. In 2022-23, the temple’s revenue had crossed the Rs 100 crore mark, reaching Rs 123 crore.
Temple authorities stated that all rituals and worships at the temple, including Sarpa Samskara, Naga Prathishte, and Ashlesha Bali, have been brought under the online booking system through the National Informatics Centre (NIC) of the government. Furthermore, the temple has introduced the e-hundi facility to collect donations through online transactions from devotees. These transparent online booking facilities and the e-hundi system have significantly increased the temple’s revenue. Sources mentioned that the number of bookings for pujas and sevas has also considerably increased.
The temple has also launched an online booking facility for devotees to reserve rooms in the guest houses. Devotees from neighbouring states like Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Tamil Nadu have been visiting the temple in large numbers. With a deposit of over Rs 500 crore, the temple has devised plans to enhance basic facilities for the convenience of devotees using the available funds.
Temple authorities are considering constructing a building to offer Sarpa Samskara, Naga Prathishte, Ashlesha Bali, and other seva services. Additionally, lodges, a dining hall, and a godown for storing groceries and other items to be offered by Kukke Subrahmanya Temple to other small temples in the area will be developed. Sources indicated that the Car Street area of the temple will be developed, providing more space for vendors.
