Congress candidate for the Lok Sabha constituency, Muddahanumegowda, came in a procession in a bullock cart and submitted his nomination papers. Thousands of Congress workers who initially gathered near the city’s town hall circle participated in the procession and supported it.
A huge rally was held from BGS circle to Deputy Commissioner Office. Later Muddahanumegowda submitted his nomination papers to Deputy Commissioner and Returning Officer Subha Kalyan. During the submission of nomination papers Ministers G. Parameshwar, KN Rajanna, Gubbi MLA SR Srinivas were present.
Art troupes attracted attention in the parade. Dollukunita, Garudi Gombe Kunita, Nasik Dol, Veeragase dance performances were held. Congress flags fluttered as the Dollu Kunita team formed a pyramid.
