Kannada comedy-drama Su From So, which became a surprise box-office hit, is now set to release on OTT. Viewers can soon watch it on Jio Hotstar, which has bought the digital rights. Meanwhile, Colors Kannada has picked up its satellite rights. Reports suggest the combined OTT and satellite rights across languages were sold for around Rs. 5.5 crore plus GST.
Directed and written by JP Thuminadu, who made his debut with this film, Su From So hit theatres on July 25, 2025. It has since earned Rs. 78.82 crore in India and a worldwide collection of Rs. 106.08 crore, making it one of the most profitable Kannada films recently.
The film stars Shaneel Gautham, Raj B Shetty, Sandhya Arakere, and others. It tells the story of Ravi, a young man whose innocent crush leads to strange events. Villagers start to believe he’s attracting ghosts, especially after the arrival of Sulochana from Someshwar, nicknamed “Su from So.”
With its mix of humor and horror, the film has won hearts. Music was composed by Sumedh K, also making his debut. The film is set in a joyful village full of quirky, lovable characters.
