Speaking to media persons at Kumbalgodu in the district on Wednesday, he said Vijayendra’s choice was not family politics. His father B S Yediyurappa has given power to his son after he said he would not contest the elections. Vijayendra is now also an MLA.
The people of the constituency have not ignored me. I am not staying away from the BJP. I am working in my constituency, he said.
I am checking through 40 women in the constituency that the congress government’s guarantee schemes are reaching the people. Some people are not able to tolerate this. My only aim is that government schemes should reach the people, he said.
Earlier, when I was the Minister in-charge of Mysuru district, the BJP was in only three constituencies. However, I was working in other areas. The same thing is happening today. I have won in the BJP. So shouldn’t the Congress government’s programme be done, he asked.
SM Krishna had joined the BJP. However, the BJP has not fulfilled the promises made to him. The promises made to Shankar, BC Nagesh and many others who worked hard to bring the BJP to power and were former ministers have not been fulfilled. So, I had made a statement about the condition of those who joined the BJP with me that the BJP will first give jamun and then poison it. This statement was not personal. I was given a Ministerial berth. Seven to eight people did not get a seat, he said.
