The state is shaken by drought, Rs 37,000 crores crop damaged, Rs 3,000 crores is required immediately to pay the compensations, State Minister for Law, Justice, Human Rights, Parliamentary Affairs, Legislation and Tourism HK Patil has lashed out at the central government.

Speaking to the media, he commented on former Chief Minister  BS Yediyurappa’s statement about the financial situation of the state government. We have requested the Center to release the amunt requested to control the drought situation it immediately. Minister Patil lashed out at the Central government saying that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah   requested permission to meet the Prime Minister four times but did not get it.

Not even a single paise has not been released from the relief center despite the complete destruction of the monsoon. Minister HK Patil  said that despite the economic crisis, our state government has given money to 92-93 percent of the beneficiaries in various schemes of the government.  Not our State, it is Central Government coffers are empty. He warned ediyurappa to speak carefully about this.

He said that even if there is financial obstacle, our state government will fulfill the promise given to the people by making appropriate arrangements and will not adopt a step-motherly attitude like the Centre.

Center’s team has conducted drought study in the state. What action has been taken in this regard? Will you report that there is no drought? Criticising the Centre, Patil said that MPs should not be able to go to Delhi and ask the Centre to provide drought relief, they should be ashamed.

It is ridiculous that the state BJP is now conducting a drought study. In the name of drought study, this is a part of delaying the release of grants, Minister HK Patil took them to task.
