Agriculture Minister’s Instruction To Achieve 100 Percent EKYC Registration Target

Agriculture Minister N Chaluvarayaswamy has instructed to complete the pending E-KYC registration and achieve 100 percent.

The Minister reviewed the progress of implementation of Agriculture and Watershed Department projects in the   Zilla Panchayat hall and said that if the government projects are to be availed, EKYC registration is mandatory, so work for the welfare of the farmers.

Chaluvarayaswamy directed the officials to achieve the financial and physical target within the stipulated time limit.

The drought situation has put the farmers in trouble, Minister said to pay more attention to ground water conservation and speed up the implementation of watershed department projects.

Drought has been declared in 223 taluks of the state excluding 8 taluks of Hanasa district. We are still waiting for a solution from the centre.  The Minister suggested that after our request, the salary arrears of the employment guarantee scheme have been released and delivered to the beneficiaries as soon as possible. The agricultural machinery supply in the district should be continuous and adequate. the Minister directed that the farmers should get timely service.  He instructed the authorities to take action against such NGOs as the non-governmental organizations responsible for the agricultural machinery scheme are failing to deliver the machinery scheme to the farmers.

MLA Shivalingegowda, Deputy Commissioner, Zilla Panchayat CEO, Additional Director of Agriculture Department participated in the meeting.
