DC Reaches Janata Darshan Venue In Government Bus

Deputy Commissioner Nitesh Patil conducted the Janata Darshan programme of Khanapur taluk at Nandagad. Interestingly, he reached the spot along with other district officials in a state transport bus. He took a ticket from the bus, while other women officials travelled free of cost under the Shakti scheme.
According to the instructions of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, the District Minister chairs a monthly Janata Darshan programme, while the taluk level programme is conducted each fortnight. Janata Darshan programme held in Nandagad was the first in the series, which was inaugurated by local MLA Vitthal Halagekar. As many as 722 applications were received during the programme and 10 counters were established to receive these applications.
DC Nitesh Patil said, inward numbers are given to each application and they will be followed up by the officials of the concerned departments. The action report would be informed to the respective applicants. He said the applications would be considered for disposal based on their nature and local level queries would be resolved immediately.
Hundreds of people submitted their applications by standing in the queue. The Rrevenue, Rural Development, Panchayat Raj, Forest, Excise, Police, Food and Civil Supply, Health, Animal Husbandry, HESCOM, Horticulture and Education departments received applications at separate counters. Separate centres were opened to help illiterate and senior citizens.

MLA Vitthal Halagekar appealed to the public to avail the advantage of the Janata Darshan programme, especially to bring queries related to roads, drainage, drinking water, health and other basic needs to the notice of the administration. Former MLA Arvind Patil, Gram Panchayat President Yallappa Gurav, ZP CEO Harshal Bhoyar, Additional Deputy Commissioner Vijaykumar Honakeri, Additional SP Venugopal, Assistant Commissioner Shravan Nayak, Joint Director of Agriculture Department Shivanagouda Patil, Joint Director of Food Department Shrishail Kankanwadi, Deputy Director of Animal Husbandry department Dr Rajiv Koler were present.
