R Ashoka to lead Bengaluru’s first Rama Ratha Yatre

Revenue Minister Mr R Ashoka will lead Bengaluru’s first Rama Ratha Yatre on Sunday on the occasion of Ramanavami. The Rama Ratha Yatre will be inaugurated at 10 am at AB Vajapayee grounds, Padmanabhanagar constituency. His Holiness Sri Subudhendra Teertha Swamiji of Mantralaya, Sri Eshwarananda Puri Swamiji of Kaginele and Sri Basavamurthy Madara Channaiah Swamiji will inaugurate the event
More than 10,000 people are expected to participate. The Padayatre will be led by Revenue Minister Mr R Ashoka from the MLA’s office in Padmanabhanagar. This will be followed by Maha Pooje and Mahamangalarathi along with distribution of prasad. The devotees will distribute juice all along the Padayatra route. Various cultural troupes will take part. Speaking about the programme, Mr Ashoka said, “We have been celebrating Ramanavami from time immemorial. I heartily invite everyone to take part in this programme.”
