Director R. Chandru mega period film ‘Kabzaa’ is currently nearing the end of its production phase. Having made a lot of buzz already with the casting choices, its scale as a pan-India magnum opus, ‘Kabzaa’ is easily one of the most anticipated Kannada films of the coming months. Upendra plays the male lead in the film while Shriya Saran plays the female lead and Kiccha Sudeep will be seen essaying a key role as Bhargav Bakshi.
However, a recent rumor surrounding Sudeep’s involvement in the film seems to have bothered the team of ‘Kabzaa’. With a few online and media reports suggesting that the ‘Vikrant Rona’ actor has walked out of ‘Kabzaa’ and that he is no longer part of the film, director R. Chandru took to social media a couple of days ago to quash all the rumors. R. Chandru wrote a short yet descriptive tweet wherein he denied Sudeep’s departure from the project and also stated that the actor has already participated in the shoot for his role of Bhargav Bakshi.
“A few news reports have been claiming since yesterday that Sudeep sir has walked out of ‘Kabzaa’. These reports are far from the truth. Sri. Kiccha Sudeep has already participated in the shooting of ‘Kabzaa’ so I would request everyone to not pay any heed to such false news items,” wrote R. Chandru.
Both Sudeep and Upendra will be seen donning the retro avatars in ‘Kabzaa’ with the former having joined the sets back in December of 2021. The team brought Shriya Saran on board as one of the two female lead characters, Madhumati, and the first look of the same was unveiled a short while ago. Telugu actors Posani Krishna Murali and Murali Sharma too were roped in to play key roles in the mega venture.
