Minister Krishna Byre Gowda Inspects Progress Of DC Office Construction

State Revenue Minister Krishna Byre Gowda visited the district in order to review the progress of work pertaining to the Revenue Department and visited the new Deputy Commissioner  office which is under construction since the last several years at Padil on Tuesday.

Speaking to media persons, Krishna Byre Gowda said, in order to examine the work progress and to see how the government officials are responding to the needs of the public, the inspection of lower level offices of Revenue Department such as Village Accountant office, Sub Registrar office, Tahsildar record room will be undertaken. After going through the problems faced by the public, a general meeting will be held along with the officials to focus on the major problems concerning the survey department and revenue cases. We want the government to work for the needs of the public and finish the work within a given time.

For now, our main concern is to shift the DC office and that is our main priority. This has to be carried out as soon as possible. Shifting of the other departments will be done within a time period of 5 to 8 months. By this, we hereby take the responsibility to complete the pending works of the DC establishment as well as visit various departments starting from village accountant office to DC office and also examine the problems faced by the district. The DC has been already informed to revise the estimation of pending construction work and also to segregate the essential items in the first and second phase. However, we will try our best to complete the pending work and shift the DC office within a year, he said.Deputy Commissioner MP Mullai Muhilan was also present.
