Acclaimed director Selvaraghavan’s directorial, 7G Rainbow Colony is expected to have a sequel soon. The film which had Ravi Krishna and Sonia Agarwal in the lead roles released in 2004 and was a huge hit. With Ravi Krishna set to make a comeback into films with 7G Rainbow Colony 2, the latest is that director has finalised the female lead for the film.
While there have been reports that actress Aditi Shankar and Ivana have been approached to play the female lead in the film, the latest is that Malayalam actress Anaswara Rajan has been finalised to play the female lead.
Ravi Krishna was last seen on big screens in the 2011 Tamil film Aaranya Kaandam, is to make an on-screen comeback after 12 years. It is known that actress Sonia Aggarwal, who played the female lead in the previous part, passes away in the film’s climax.
Anaswara, who debuted as a child artiste in Udaharanam Sujatha starring Manju Warrier, was see playing the niece of Trisha in Raangi and also appeared in Thugs in Tamil. To be produced by AM Ratnam, 7G Rainbow Colony 2 is all set to go on floors in September with Selvaraghavan and Yuvan Shankar Raja joining forces once again. An official announcement regarding the rest of the cast and crew details will be out soon.
