Basava Kendra to hold Vachana Shravana

Basava Kendra will organise the Vachana Shravana programme on Saturday (today), August 22, 2026, at 6 pm at the residence of Prabhu Sattigeri, owner of Sangamesh Graphics, at House No. 77, Rayanal Road, Shivnagar. Prof. K.S. Koujalagi, retired professor and honorary secretary of the Dharwad district unit of the Kannada Sahitya Parishat, will deliver an anubhava on Akkamahadevi’s vachana beginning with “Aaseyembudu Arasingallade.” Basava Kendra president Prof. G.B. Hallal will be present. Dr. Suresh D. Horkeri, librarian, said the Vachana Shravana programme is being held throughout the month. He urged Basava followers and literature enthusiasts to participate and make the programme successful.
