Purulia police have smashed a major fake lottery scam by arresting two men who evaded capture for a year. The culprits, Shakti Yadav and Ganesh Sau, printed high-quality fake tickets that looked exactly like real ones. They targeted rural buyers and offered massive commissions to local sellers to expand their illegal business. Police caught the duo during a sudden raid and seized over ten lakh rupees in cash. Investigators reveal the scam has deep roots stretching into neighboring Jharkhand. Both suspects are now in custody as officer’s work to dismantle the entire interstate fraud network.
