Yadgir
The Karnataka government has appointed 2016-batch IAS officer Rahul Tukaram Pandey as the new Deputy Commissioner of Yadgir district. He was earlier serving as Additional Commissioner of the Public Education Department in Kalaburagi Division since July 2025. During his tenure in the education department, Pandey focused on improving SSLC results across the Kalyana Karnataka region and launched the “Mission 40+” initiative to strengthen academic performance in government schools. Officials said the programme helped improve pass percentages in several districts under the Kalaburagi Revenue Division. The government’s latest transfer order is part of a broader administrative reshuffle. His work in improving learning outcomes in backward regions was widely appreciated by education officials.
