Under the NREGA scheme, rural workers in Kekkara Kutli village under Kattoka Gram Panchayat in Sirsi taluk are actively taking part in development work. Women workers are digging pits for a project worth about five lakh rupees and showing strong participation. On Rojagar Divas, officials shared information with labourers about scheme benefits, wages, work duration, and health insurance. Panchayat Development Officers and coordinators also explained e-KYC process and IEC details to the workers present. Officials said attendance at work sites is mandatory and wages will be fully paid only after completion of work.
Technical assistant said workers must complete assigned tasks properly to receive full payment under the scheme guidelines. Gram Panchayat secretaries, bill collector and BFT Sridhar Patagar attended the programme and supported awareness efforts for workers development in the village. They also emphasized timely attendance, proper use of resources, and cooperation among workers to ensure successful completion of NREGA works and improve rural livelihood conditions through community participation and government support initiatives in the region.
