Shell has once again increased fuel prices in Bengaluru, adding to the burden on motorists already affected by rising fuel costs linked to global crude oil volatility and the ongoing conflict in the Middle East. The private fuel retailer revised petrol and diesel prices by around ₹3 per litre for the second time in recent weeks. With the latest hike, Shell Premium Petrol now costs ₹136.51 per litre, while V-Power Petrol is priced at ₹132.85 per litre. Shell Premium Diesel has been revised to ₹126 per litre. Earlier, Shell petrol was being sold at around ₹128 per litre. The repeated price increase has triggered concern among regular users, especially commuters and vehicle owners who depend on private fuel outlets. Industry sources attributed the increase to rising international crude oil prices, foreign exchange fluctuations and higher import costs. Fuel prices across the country have witnessed upward pressure in recent days. Consumers expressed concern over the sharp rise, saying continued hikes would increase transportation and daily travel expenses further.
