Addressing industry leaders, policymakers, and investors at the conclave, Sharma said Rajasthan has emerged as a leading state in solar energy production and is steadily strengthening its position as a major energy supplier in the country.

The Chief Minister described energy conservation as the most economical, effective, and sustainable alternative to increasing energy production. According to him, careful and disciplined consumption of resources is essential for achieving long-term energy self-reliance. He noted that responsible use of energy not only reduces costs but also helps protect the environment and strengthen national energy security.

Referring to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Nation First vision, Sharma said the Rajasthan government is actively promoting fuel conservation measures across departments. He mentioned that guidelines have already been issued for the restrained use of government vehicles and broader implementation of energy-saving practices.

In a symbolic gesture supporting sustainable transportation, Sharma arrived at the event in an electric vehicle. The move was intended to send a clear message about the importance of reducing fuel consumption, cutting carbon emissions, and encouraging the adoption of environmentally friendly technologies.

The Chief Minister strongly advocated the use of electric vehicles, saying they play a crucial role in reducing pollution and combating climate change. He stated that widespread EV adoption could significantly lower carbon emissions and contribute to environmental protection efforts while helping India reduce its dependence on fossil fuels.

Sharma emphasized that saving petrol and diesel has become a national necessity as the world faces rising energy demands and environmental concerns. He said future energy security can only be ensured through investment in clean, renewable, and alternative energy solutions.

Inviting domestic and international investors to participate in Rajasthan’s rapidly growing energy sector, Sharma said the state is moving quickly towards becoming a major energy powerhouse in line with the national vision of a Developed India by 2047. He assured industries and businesses that Rajasthan offers a highly investment-friendly environment backed by supportive government policies.

The Chief Minister added that large-scale investment proposals in solar energy, wind power, bio-energy, pumped storage, and green hydrogen projects demonstrate growing confidence in Rajasthan’s energy policies.
