Grand musical celebration ‘Mysuru Sitar Sambhrama 2026’ on May 9

Kala Samvahana Trust is presenting ‘Mysuru Sitar Sambhrama 2026’, a grand celebration of Indian classical music, tradition, and cultural excellence.

The event will be held on 9th May 2026 at 5:00 PM at Karnataka Kalamandira, Vinoba Road, Mysuru. This prestigious musical evening aims to promote and preserve the rich heritage of Indian classical music through an extraordinary sitar ensemble and performances by renowned artists. The program will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and presided by Dr. H.C. Mahadevappa, Minister of Social Welfare Department and District In-charge Minister.

Pujya Swami Krutatmananda of Chinmaya Mission will grace the occasion.

Distinguished guests attending the event include legendary singer H.R. Leelavati, Dr. M. Jagannath Shenoy, and Padma Shri Pt. Venkatesh Kumar, an eminent Hindustani vocalist.

A major highlight of the evening is the performance by internationally acclaimed sitarist Ustad Dr. Mohasin Khan. Grand Sitar Ensemble by Sitar Sinchana, Mysuru, featuring 50+ musicians performing live in harmony. Noted Vocalist Padmashri Pandit Venkatesh kumar will be Star performer of the festival.  

Speaking about the event, Dr Shabana Mysuru said that Mysuru Sitar Sambhrama is envisioned as a platform to inspire young musicians and bring audiences closer to the timeless beauty of Indian classical arts.
