Police crack gold ornament theft at bus stand

Lakshmeshwara police have arrested a thief accused of stealing gold ornaments and cash from bus stands in Gadag town. The accused has been identified as Raimu Kale, a resident of Pangarmal village in Maharashtra.

According to police, the theft of gold ornaments took place on April 10 at a bus stand in Gadag. In another incident on April 25, cash was also reported stolen from a different bus stand in the same area. Following these complaints, a special team was formed to track down the suspect.

The operation was carried out under the guidance of Superintendent of Police Rohan Jagadish. Officers from the Gadag sub-division, including DSP, CPI, PSI, and crime branch staff, worked together to investigate the case and locate the accused.

Police officials confirmed that the accused has been taken into custody and further investigation is underway to recover the stolen property and check for his involvement in other similar cases in the region.
