Narasimha Jayanti was celebrated with great devotion and enthusiasm at Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple in Kempegowda Nagar, Magadi town, where a large number of devotees gathered for special prayers and rituals.
Magadi MLA H.C. Balakrishna participated in the programme and offered special prayers to Lord Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy. Speaking on the occasion, he said that the Narasimha incarnation symbolises the destruction of evil and the establishment of righteousness. He called upon people to follow the path of devotion and work towards peace and harmony in society.
The MLA said that society can progress only when people stay away from negative thoughts and move in the right direction. He also stressed the importance of communal harmony and said that all religions must coexist peacefully for the country’s development. He added that festivals should serve as a bridge to unite people rather than remain only ceremonial events.
He assured that the government is committed to the development of temples in Magadi region and promised additional grants in the coming days to improve basic facilities for devotees. He also prayed for good rainfall and a successful agricultural season, expressing hope that farmers would be protected from hardship.
Former Municipal President K.N. Narasegowda said Narasimha Jayanti represents the victory of good over evil and strengthens faith among devotees. He noted that the temple, built with community cooperation, is growing in importance and attracting more devotees every year.
Temple committee members honoured the MLA on the occasion. Special poojas were also performed at the temple, and prasad was distributed to devotees.
Several former MLAs, local leaders, officials and hundreds of devotees participated in the celebrations, making the event a significant religious gathering in Magadi town.
