MLA Sharanagouda Kandakur has urged the district administration to ensure immediate release of ₹42 crore pending dues owed to sugarcane farmers by Core Green Sugar Factory in Wadagera taluk, Yadgir. In a letter to the Deputy Commissioner, he warned of strong action if the issue is not resolved quickly. A total of 3,341 farmers from Yadgiri and Kalaburagi supplied sugarcane worth ₹142 crore, of which ₹100 crore has been paid so far. The remaining amount is still pending despite earlier assurances from the factory management. Kandakur has asked authorities to intervene and ensure payment by the first week of May. He also warned of protests and possible closure of the factory if delays continue further.
